If you would be so kind as to mix the gin and elderflower in a mixing glass. (No need for the traditional glass stirrer) mix til well chilled. Spank the mint in your hand. Yes. That is correct - spank that bad guy! Gently pour into a champagne coup glass - I like mine chilled beforehand. Then, and only then may you pour the Prosecco to the mix. The optional garnish is a green grape. I consider it obligatory. Mint leaf might be an option.
The story behind this cocktail - so classified due to the gin and elderflower liqueur - is, as I said it’s “classified”. However, I might be able to comment it’s named after the creatress of this lovely drink. It’s an improvement over the Hugo Cocktail from Switzerland.
