Charles Schumann‘s the American Bar – the artistry of mixing drinks

You may well be asking yourself what does the American Bar book by Schumann have to do with the anticipated? I know you were waiting, October cocktail of the month.

My girlfriend is very much a fan of  the Jack Rose cocktail. I know you’ve heard about that before. So the other day when she was pondering what kind of cocktail to have -she’s apparently gone through my cocktail menu – so I handed her Schumann’s book, which includes an extensive cocktail list. He’s quite a character. His bar is exquisite. I particularly like the “Les fluer du mals” bar, which is upstairs. Very private very elegant. Very sensual.

OK so I was talking about this little book that I got from Thriftbook, an online bookstore out of God only knows where nowadays. Well nevertheless, it’s a charming book. I think I’ve given one already away. It’s a very handy gastronomy for liquors to include glassware,  infinite items cocktail, shakers, etc., etc., etc.

To my point,
